Lexus is about to unveil a new four-seater convertible concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show next week. But, before its debut, the Japanese luxury carmaker teases fans with an image of the drop-top’s silhouette.
By looking at the teaser photo, the Lexus LF-C2, as the car is referred to, appears like it shares the same platform as the RC coupe. At the moment, its only distinguishing marks are its drop-top and two raised humps behind the back seats. Its straight drooping nose and short tail have a semblance with the profile of the Lexus RC and RC F coupes.
According to the Telegraph, should the LF-C2 goes into production, it will likely share the same engine lineup as the RC coupe: a 2.5-liter V6 petrol, 5.0-liter V8 and a petrol-electric hybrid. Other than that, there are no further details regarding the convertible.
Starting November 16th, Lexus will gradually reveal the LF-C2, 72-hours before the vehicle’s world premiere at the LA Auto Show. This will be done by the hour by intensifying the glow of the solar eclipse that appears on the first teaser image. Fans are also encouraged to vote for the image they want to see next on Lexus’ official website.
