BMW has announced that it will bring at least five vehicle introductions at the 2014 New York International Auto Show.
BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe, Alpina B6 Gran Coupe, X4 Sports Activity Coupe, Concept X5 eDrive, and X3 LCl will be shown to the public for the first time during the show.
The four-door 4-Series Gran Coupe is sleeker, more rakish and more attention-grabbing than the current 4-series coupes and convertibles. The roofline beautifully slopes down for the hatchback which reveals a huge cargo space. The Gran Coupe is a combination of the 4 Series coupe’s sportiness and the functionality of a four-door.
The 428i Gran Coupe is powered by a 240-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under its hood. The 435i model has a 300-hp V6 engine. Both models are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Price starts at $41,225.
Starting at $45,625, the BMW X4 Sports Activity Coupe will be available with two choices of engines: a 240-hp 2.0-liter four and a 300-hp 3.0-liter V6. Both models will be offered with an 8-speed automatic transmission, too. According to BMW, the X4’s production will begin in spring this year.
Other vehicles that will be on the floor are the Alpina B6 Gran Coupe, which is powered by a 540-hp 4.4-liter V8, and the Concept X5 eDrive, which features the combination of the German carmaker’s intelligent all-wheel drive and efficient driving technology. The BMW X3 Sports Activity vehicle will be offering the new BMW Advanced Diesel Power.
The 2014 New York International Auto Show will be open to public on April 18.
