The Japanese automaker Acura has announced that the 2015 Acura TLX will show itself to the world in its final production form at the 2014 New York International Auto Show in April.
The production TLX, which will replace the TL and the TSK models, is expected to appear much the same as the prototype displayed at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
Acura will offer two new powertrains for the TLX. One is a 2.4-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine that goes with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. The other is a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 engine with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
The luxury TLX will come standard with front-wheel drive system and Acura’s Precision All-Wheel Steer or P-AWS technology. All-wheel drive system will be available for TLX models with 3.5-liter engine under the hood.
Safety technologies in the Acura TLX include blind spot indicator, collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning, among others.
